Educational Qualification: Applicants should have Degree of any recognized University in Arts, Science or Commerce, degree/ diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication from an Institute recognized by UGC or at least three years experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity public relation organization/ Government Public Relations Department and Knowledge of Computer Application.
Selection Process: Applicants will be selected based on written test/ interview.
Application Fee: Applicants are required to pay Rs. 250/- for General, Rs 150/- for SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC candidates through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account “Non Tax Revenue, Other Non Tax revenue 0051 PSC, 105 State PSC Application Receipt of APSC” showing name of post and department. No fee for BPL Certificate candidates.

Age Limit: To Apply for the above posts of *Fishery Development Officer, *Veterinary Officer/ Block Veterinary Officer & *Lecturer21-43 years, for the posts of *Medical Inspector of Factories the age should be 23-43 years and for the post of *Director of Economics and Statistics the age should be between 35-45 years as on 01-01-2018. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ STP/ STH candidates as per rules.
Educational Qualification: For the post of *Fishery Development Officer Candidate should posses B.F.Sc Degree from any College/ University recognized by the ICAR or D.F.Sc or Master of Science (Fisheries) from CIFE Mumbai or any other Institute of the ICAR, For the post of *Medical Inspector of Factories Degree or Diploma equivalent to a Degree of a recognized University in any branch of Medicine with 2 years experience, at least 2nd Class Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics from a recognized University or its equivalent or Degree of a recognized University with Mathematics, Statistics, Economics as subject and a Diploma recognized by Govt. Obtained after at least 2(two) years Post Graduate training in Statistics Director of Economics and Statistics. For more details refer the notification.

About APSC Assam Public Service Commission
The Assam Public Service Commission came into existence on Ist April,1937 in accordance with the provision of the Govt. of India Act, 1935 with Mr James Hezelett, a retired ICS officer from London, as its first Chairman. Till framing a new regulation in 1951, five more officers mostly retired ICS officer, held the office of the Chairman for different period after Mr James Hezelett. On India becoming Republic, the regulations of the Commission were framed by the Governor of Assam in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 318 of the Constitution of India and the same came into force w.e.f. Ist September 1951. Also in the same year the Assam Public Service Commission (Limitation of Functions) Regulation was promulgated in exercise of the powers conferred by the provision of clause II of Article 320 of the Constitution.
